Crazy Kick
About 400k people play it every day. Since mid-2024 I've been its only engineer.
The football game where you control the ball, not the players: dribble past opponents and shoot. Live since June 2019. The lifetime downloads come from the publisher’s user acquisition, not from me; I have been its sole engineer since mid-2024.
What I built
- 01
I run the whole live-ops loop on my own: A/B test planning, feature design, implementation, rollout, analytics, result analysis and the go or no-go call.
- 02
I own the game metrics (retention, monetization, stability) that the publisher uses to decide whether to keep scaling user acquisition.
- 03
I took over a live codebase that three teams had worked on before, at about 400k daily players.
- 04
I spotted on the dashboards that a build had shipped with ads disabled, then did a partial rollback and a same-day hotfix.
- 05
Ads, in-app purchases and analytics integrations.
